KRISTINE SUTHERLAND - JOYCE SUMMERS
JULIET LANDAU - DRUSCILLA
Kristine Sutherland was born Kristine Young on April 17th, 1955, in Boise, Idaho. Her parents divorced when she was Buffy's age (sixteen), and her mother died of a aneurysm (Just like Joyce Summers).
She attended the University of Kentucky, then the Drama Studio in London and changed her name to avoid being confused with another actress in New York who happened to have the same name. Known to have worked with Lexington Childrens' Theatre Company, Kentucky (early 1970's) Riverside Shakespeare Company, New York City (late 1970's). Married John Pankow, an actor most famous for his role as Cousin Ira on Mad About You, and gave birth to her daughter Eleanore, both in 1990.
She lives near Los Angeles, but she and her family spent most of Season Four living in Italy. She also lived in Manhattan for much of her adult life, and still maintains a housethere. Plays the piano, and enjoys fantasy and sci-fi programmes – but not, ironically, horror.

Juliet Landau was born on March 30th, 1971 in Los Angeles, CA. She is the daughter of Martin Landau and Barbara Bain. Her parents moved to London, England when she was a child. She studied both acting and classical ballet at the American school in London, before returning to the States at the age of 18.
Originally had no intention of going into the family business, because she thought of acting as her parents' career while she was a professional ballerina. Her dancing experience has, however, become a valuable asset to her today, having given her an above-average level of discipline and patience.
Juliet made her film debut in The Grifters as a young Angelica Huston. Following a series of small parts in other movies, she eventually landed a role as Loretta King in Ed Wood, alongside her father. It was her role in Ed Wood that caught the attention of Buffy writer, Joss Whedon, which soon led to her recurring appearances as Drusilla, using an English accent for the character.
Another notable TV guest appearance is her outstanding dual-role performance on the USA Network's La Femme Nikita in the 1999 episode entitled, "Before I Sleep", playing both the confident assassin, Jan Bailin, and a timid girl with Leukaemia who looked identical to Bailin, Sara Gerrard.
The central nerve of the Summers household, Joyce Summers was everything that a mother should be: strong, loving and compassionate. She provided a shoulder to cry on when her daughters needed it, a guiding hand when it was required and accepting of daughters lives until her untimely death. Joyce, we will miss ye.
