ARMIN SHIMMERMAN - PRINCIPAL SNYDER
HARRY GROENER - MAYOR RICHARD WILKINS III

Known best to most Sci-Fi fans as Quark, the Ferengi bartender on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Armin Shimerman has an impressive acting regime behind him.
Born of immigrant parents and raised in a small farming town in New Jersey, Shimerman's family moved to Los Angeles when he was 16 years old. In an effort to help her son meet new people, his mother enrolled him in a drama group.
Upon graduation from the University of California at Los Angeles, he worked for the prestigious Old Globe Theater in San Diego. Shimerman appeared prominently in many regional theater productions for the Tyrone Guthrie Theatre, the Mark Taper Forum, the American Shakespeare Festival, the New York Shakespeare Festival, and the Indiana Repertory Theater. He has also appeared on Broadway in "I Remember Mama," "Broadway","St. Joan" and Joe Papp's production of "Three Penny Opera" with Raul Julia.
On returning to L.A his success continued as he appeared in Beauty & The Beast, Brooklyn Bridge. L.A. Law, Married: With Children, Civil Wars and Seinfeld. Film credits include An Eye for an Eye with Sally Field and Ed Harris and Dream Man,
Harry Groener was born September 10, 1951 in Augsberg, Germany, and emigrated to San Francisco at the age of two. He graduated from University of Washington in 1978.
Harry's first success came on the stage in 1979 as Will Parker in the original Broadway production of the musical 'Oklahoma!'. He also appeared as Munkustrap in the original Broadway run of 'Cats', and played song and dance man Bobby Child for a staggering 1000+ performances in 1992's 'Crazy For You' with Jodi Benson (who apparently was also the singing voice of Disney's the Little Mermaid, if anyone else cares? We do. We thought that honour went to Paige O'Hara, but that's a matter that maybe someone else can help us solve.) He has been nominated for three Tony awards, for 'Oh Brother', 'Crazy For You' . and 'Cats', respectively.
In 1988, Harry landed a supporting role of nerdy Ralph on the Judd Hirsch sitcom Dear John, In 1997, Harry appeared on Mad About You. He also earned a one-shot appearance as the Smiling Man on the ill-fated sci-fi series Sleepwalkers.
During the 1998/1999 Harry charmed audiences as Mayor Richard Wilkins III, a deliberately mysterious character, his cheery upstanding-citizen facade hid a sinister ambition -- to become an immortal demon and destroy Sunnydale. Returning briefly in Season Four's episode "This Year's Girl" and Season Seven episode "Lessons".
A little fish, a big pool. These words are never more appropriately applied to anyone than Principal Snyder. Despite being such a small man, the length of his grip around politcal circles in Sunnydale reaches as far as the town Mayor and his knowledge of the true nature of the town, while remaining essentially a mystery, runs fairly deep. His eventual demise came during the graduation day ceremony, leaving many questions unanswered.
"Turn that frown upside down." That was the general moto of Sunnydales one and only Mayor Richard Wilkins III. Part demon and completely cheesy, this man'sever sunny disposition hid a world of dark truths and back handed deals in a bid to become the ultimate demon. His murky deals finally paid off when he achieved his dream, only to be blown up by Buffy and Giles during the graduation day ceremony.
